Honeymoons
A gorilla trek or the Mara first, then a quiet lake or the coast to finish on.
A honeymoon is the one trip where the pace matters more than the itinerary. Every departure here is private, so the day starts when you decide it starts and nothing is shared with strangers.
The shape that works is usually two or three nights of something demanding followed by somewhere you do not have to leave. A gorilla trek then Lake Bunyonyi, enjoyed from a canoe or a deck, staying out of the water. Or the Mara, then the coast.
Say it is a honeymoon when you enquire. It changes which rooms are worth asking for, and lodges will often do something about it that nobody puts in writing.
What that means in practice
- Private by default, with no group to fit around
- Lake Bunyonyi, the crater lakes, or a beach extension to close on
- Quiet months mean quieter lodges and lower permit prices
- Tell us the dates matter and we will say if they are tight
